Edwards AFB Fitness Center: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Base gym is always great.
Positive experience: Small but gets the job done, normally crowded during the evening
Negative experience: Been to better deployment gyms. At least the staff is awesome
Positive experience: nice facility set up but would be nicer if it was updated.
Fantastic experience: First time been there had a wonderful time
Fantastic experience: Good facility. Lots of intramural options. Regular lunch time games. Awesome outdoor options as well as some limited climber and parkour training options. Recently added great outdoor equipment.
Positive experience: Nice gym.
Fantastic experience: This is probably the best desertscape disc golf course you'll ever find.
Fantastic experience: Gtm is great among as ylu go after 6 so it's not crowded
Positive experience: Nice work out place

Positive experience: I really appreciate the effort put in to keep this running; the equipment is generally nice, and the racquetball is excellent. The treadmill area does get warm and humid pretty quickly, though
Positive experience: Great equipment but facility is outdated. The gym desperate need of funding to improve quality of life for airmen that use it.
Positive experience: Staff is great, they are helpful and polite. The gym itself leaves a lot to be desired. Smaller than usual Air Force bases and not enough benches or equipment during busy hours.

Fantastic experience: Great gym! New equipment! It has all the creature comforts of gyms out in town.
Fantastic experience: Early morning training session....can't beat it.
Fantastic experience: Hahahahahahah
Fantastic experience: Oasis Pool is exceptional
Positive experience: Beats paying for a membership
Positive experience: Edit Nov 2020 Have just about everything below is still accurate this gym is still small especially due to the circumstances and being a remote location this gym should be at least twice if not three times larger. I have been going to the gym every week day at 0500 to 0610 and for the first 20 min there are about 5 or so people in the weight tent then as time goes on it gets more and more crowded not as much as pre-covid. I will go up a star because most of the equipment has been replaced with newer machines. Best gym within 13 miles, Pretty bad gym especially considering the location circumstances. I have seen a few gyms and by far this one is the worst Tyndall, Savannah, Nellis, Keesler, Ft Worth, Eglin, and Sheppard. I am sure everyone knows this but there have been problems getting upgrades and funding. I am sure one day this gym will be one of the best once everything lines up. When this gym has minimal people then this gym has everything you need when it comes to free weights. The machines are in a small room and like I said if there it no one there then it is more pleasurable to use. When there is more than 4 people in that room it becomes crowded and confusing not knowing what will be available/used next. There is no shortage of cardio machines but during peak hours you might have to play rock paper scissors. Don't get my wrong I utilize it but...well ya... I am going to be honest this is a below average gym few choices for weight machines but on the other hand there are a lot of free weights in the tent at the entrance of the gym. This gym is crowded at most times and that is when most of the weights are taken and it is near impossible to work out. In my opinion the gyms that I have gone too are better All this gyms needs is a remodel then I am sure it will be great.
Positive experience: Got everything you need to do whatever you want to do. There's a variety or barbells, multiple power racks and benches, abs/core dedicated room, cardio room, full basketball court and a two outside gym set ups. Great place to get in shape.
Positive experience: Great gym with new equipment
Fantastic experience: Great hours, I'm able to get a workout in before work. Gym personnel are friendly and helpful. The facility is kept immaculately clean. Sanitizer and wipes are available throughout.

Fantastic experience: Excellent place to work out if you work out on Edwards air force base. The personal are great.
Fantastic experience: I work on base and find this place to be very convenient. The staff are super cool and helpful.
Fantastic experience: They have all you need even a track outside and outdoor work out area that has punching bags, calisthenic bars, weights outside, indoor weight room, SAUNA!, indoor basketball court, cardio room and all you would want from a gym. Open to the public, come in and beat some stress any way you choose!
Positive experience: Not the best but not the worst
Fantastic experience: Nice
Fantastic experience: Great modern with all options plus sauna, racket ball courts, outdoor track s etc etc. And best of all, it's totally Free for everyone!!
Positive experience: One of the better USAF gyms (beats Hickam, Beale, and Langley) with a reasonable balance of cardio and strength training equipment. The free weight tent is amazing: 3 deadlift pads, 2 squat racks, and 2 flat benches for those of you trying to make the 1000 lb club. 4x dumbbells of each weight from 5lb to ~120lb. As with most gyms, it can be a bit crowded during lunch time and from 1600 to 1830. Additionally, there is a lot of cross fit/Ninja warrior stuff out by the track. I think this gym is comparable to Andersen's but is second to Eielson and Offutt's.
