Fantastic experience: Love that they have lots of machines

Positive experience: It's alright the way everyone talked about it I thought it'd be a little better. Went fo the guest pass and tried it out. For the price I like the availability of machines that's cool but it sucks on the cable machines you can't swap attachments found that kind of annoying. Staff seemed kinda stuck up maybe just a bad day but whatever. Definitely be cool if they added a sauna as well. My old gym back home for the same price was a bit bigger more locations and options they had a basketball court,pool, sauna, etc.

Negative experience: Online it says 24 hours 7 days a week, but it’s 24 hours 6 says a week. They close on Saturday at 12am & open Sunday at 5am. The gym has a lot of equipment but no showers and no sauna. The pro pass is $55 a month you can bring a guest and the base membership is $35 this gym is not worth what they charge and the ladies room always smells like fish…

Positive experience: Good gym, good size. BUT I didn't like the customer service. One of the lady's walked in the men's restroom with out any knocking or warning. My man was using the restroom he felt awkward that she just came in to clean the mirror without any heads up. So ya that's annoying!

Fantastic experience: Best Gym in the HD hands down! Enough equipment to get your sessions done with no interruptions. Hopefully with the membership price they bring in showers or saunas.

Negative experience: It is not open for 24 hours everyday. Ive been here since 2 am waiting for it to open.

Positive experience: I've been here for about a year. I don't recommend coming after 5 it gets very packed, and the AC doesn't seem to be working or is off. It gets super uncomfortable hot in there. They don't have showers, and the restrooms are dirty a lot of the time or out of paper. I do value having a lot of equipment to choose from, but unfortunately, a lot of the equipment becomes broken and out of service. This gym is more for a younger crowd. A lot of people work out in groups, so it is harder to use some equipment if multiple people who are waiting on it. The flooring in the deadlift area is crooked and hard to keep from rolling away and feeling stable with the flooring being so off. The front desk staff is always nice and welcoming, which I appreciate. They also need to keep hand sanitizer and cleaning stations refilled while seems to be inconsistent as well. They could also could improve cleanliness overall.

Positive experience: Great overall gym with a good amount of machines and weights available even during busy times in the evening. $45 a month (including service fee in the middle of the month), which is quite expensive but have claimed to be adding new amenities in the near future. Machine availability and gym atmosphere makes up for the membership price. My only concerns are paper towels are not restocked occasionally and the music can be loud that I have to turn up my music just to not hear it. Overall, Legends is a good gym that has a great variety of machines to get your daily pump in. Staff are friendly and willing to assist you if anything arises. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've trained at a lot of gym across the US and I must say, Legends is hands down the best gym I've had the pleasure to lift at. Amazing staff and out of this world equipment! If the gym is packed you can go to a different section of the gym and find something that hits the same muscle group you are training. Can't beat the value! You would pay 2x as much a month at a different gym with 1/4 of the equipment. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Negative experience: For the cost of this I’d expect there to be no broken mirrors, dirty bathrooms, unusable machines..

Positive experience: Good gym and great selection of weights and machines, but no amenities :/ one of the most expensive gyms in the high desert for no reason. They’re good but some amenities like a locker room, pool, sauna would make it worth the price. Right now it’s a bit of a ripoff, I switched gyms at the last price increase.

Negative experience: For the high price of 45$ a month plus the 30$ starting fee you too can be part of a big gym w no AC, dirty bathrooms, and a quarter of the machines being broken. And don’t get me started on the broken mirrors that have been there since day 1 or the wait to checkin. What’s the point of having employees if they’re just standing there

Fantastic experience: An absolute dream on earth

Negative experience: My second visit to Legends Barbell on Mar. 15, 2025 at 11:15 am was definitely an experience. One of the female employees was quite rude. She asked me to stand in the corner while I was waiting. Why is there a merch shop and juice bar at the entrance of the place if you want people to stand in a corner to wait? ...there are also benches. But she said, "Can you stand over there?" Literally pointing to a corner. The machines are not great. It seems some are just there for looks. (see photo) ...I mean what even is this machine? This gym is not welcoming towards everyone. It is definitely catered towards a certain demographic. They blast their music loud, and you go slightly deaf in one ear just walking to the bathroom. Checking in as a guest is a nightmare. You fill out an information sheet with all your info, typical guest sign in things.. Then they read aloud to you an entire grocery list of gym etiquette rules with every. single. visit. They also ask to see your ID with every single visit, even if the employee has seen you before. (???) Would not recommend this gym.

Negative experience: Pros: Lots of equipment/ variety Big facility Cons: Fees $35 basic plus $10 MONTHLY enhancement fee ($45 total monthly) $55 Pros Pass to bring a guest plus $10 MONTHLY enhancement fee ($65 total monthly) Total of $120/year in enhancement fees per member, but enhancements go to opening other facilities, and minimal improvements were noted at home gym. They decide who your guest can be even if you pay for it. Previous members get blacklisted and can't be guests. Family members under 18 can't be guests and must purchase their own membership. No discounted family plans. Guests must have local address on their ID or they can't be a guest (no out of town guests, or if you recently moved to the area you can't be a guest). No contracts but fees to sign up plus fees to cancel.

Negative experience: Impressed. Huge fitness i ever been. I saw advertising about 7 day trial pass. I even called them. And they confirmed that. After checking in they charged me 20$ day pass. I tried to talk them. But they refused my request.

Positive experience: Great place with TONS of options when it comes to lifting and cardio. Almost never have to wait for a machine or weights. The only downside would be small restrooms and no real locker room to speak of. They do have a few lockers in the back, but not many. Also, there are no showers or a sauna. Staff is excellent and always friendly.

Negative experience: Full of false advertising, racism and terrible customer service, they say they don't have contracts and they charge you for canceling separately the month, they don't want the money in cash they want it on a card Terrible, they say they don't have contracts and to cancel with them they charge you the month Plus 9.99 dollars and they also want to charge you 20 dollars to cancel, apart from that they are racists, YOU PAY FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION WHICH IS TO TAKE IN A GUEST THEY DO NOT LET THEM ENTER BECAUSE IT IS MEXICAN, they do not accept People who do not have a US ID

Fantastic experience: Largest gym I have ever set foot in. I've been here when it's at it's busiest and I've never needed to wait for equipment. The selection here is so vast and variated, I find myself adding more and more to workouts every week. The staff is friendly and always welcoming.

Negative experience: Great place as you should go in and do your thing but the customer service is so bad it’s funny you can go to a third world country and get better customer service. It’s actually funny how entitled these workers think they are. Such a shame could be an amazing place ruined by rude workers attitude.

Negative experience: Loved this gym! Been coming here since 2018 since the OG gym but today was just not it. Signed up for a $20 day pass at 11 pm last night and I was under the impression I had a full day. No one told me it was going to expire at midnight… So I came in this afternoon just now and the girl with red hair at the front was so rude and said I needed to sign up for another $20 day pass. I asked if there was any way around it but she said no sorry bye have a good day. I’m visiting from San Diego and usually staff was really friendly 2 years ago. But today it was just plain rude. Love legends and have been a loyal member before moving but sorry that was just poor customer service.

Negative experience: No AC, Machines broken. Basically, a gym ran with no professionalism. It's so cheap that you can tell from all the kids and the dirty restrooms. If you want a clean, professional place, just go to Inshape. or 24 hour in Apple Valley.

Fantastic experience: Amazing machinery If you’re a serious lifter, this is a dream gym. Huge selection of top of the line equipment. I had never seen Panatta, Watson machines and they are the best. Visited here recently and looks like I’ll be signing up soon even if it’s 40 mins away because the machine are just so sick.

Negative experience: I don't know where to start. There is always unfriendly new staff, it is always hot as h@##, the environment and equipment is dirty and damaged, the little locker section is a joke as almost all of the lockers are broken, the bathrooms smell terrible, and There's been a broken mirror for months now. The only positive thing about the gym is that there are many machines. That's all. Honestly I don't recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Place is great for all demographics. Lots of squat racks (about 10) and benches for compund lifts. Lots of machines for accessory lifts and cardio machines. Even during the summer, the AC is good and mostly clean facilities. During nin peak hours, I've rarely had to wait for machines and lots of parking. I would reommend more lower back machines and heavier kettlebells.

Positive experience: Been a member for 3 years, but they lost a star. Free weights are a joke, cant detach the cables, not enough dumbells, gotta wait till someone is doen with them. Just got another gym membership for the lacking of this gym. Its sad since I thought this gym was the best but it has flaws that are easily fixable, but owner probably doesnt care.

Negative experience: The owner is like a politician full of lies and false hope. He claimed there would be massive improvements to the Victorville gym instead he opens another location up north. He doesnt reinvest into the gym at the Victorville location. He is driven by money and doesn’t care about the staff or members. The Changing rooms are the old dressing rooms that used to be there. Bathroom is a joke and tiny , there are no showers. Gym is disgusting on the weekends. Staff is pretty lazy on Saturday on Sundays. The gym is over priced for what you get. Basic gym equipment and one location. The cardio equipment is sub par at best. The guest sign in is a joke also. You have to wait and enter your personal information every time you bring a guest. They are behind times and living in the past.

Negative experience: Good gym, horrible business practices. Signed up and was immediately charged 3 times with 3 of the $10 fees. Called and they were zero help stated “I didn’t charge you”. Have to file with my bank now. Not worth it just go elsewhere.

Positive experience: Would be a 5 but the maintenance fee isn’t worth it, I shouldn’t have to ask more than once to fix a machine that’s a simple bolt tightening. My 10$ isn’t worth there time. Another note they said sauna “coming soon” was a year ago, still no sauna.

Fantastic experience: They have a large array of equipment for every level. It does get very busy, so plan your visit It's very clean. Each area has a station to clean and sanitize the equipment after use. The staff is very helpful.

We told the lady at the front desk we have a membership at in shape but we’re interested in legends as it is a little closer to the house. We asked if we could look around to see if it would fit our needs. She said no we have to wait for the manager to take us around. “We said that’s ok I asked if I could use the bathroom while I wait. She said NO bathroom is for customer only but I co Still has Pay the juice bar to use there’s. I tried to explain we were there to become members. She said it didn’t matter until we become members we are unable to use there bathroom. We left we will just stay with in shape

Negative experience: Save yourself a scam and avoid this place. Horrible service, NO customer support available, and I was lied to. I’m a sales guy, I get it they need to make money. But the way they go about it is what we call a SCAM. Go find out for yourself if you don’t believe me. The manager doesn’t even seem like she’s qualified to be a manager considering she keeps referring me to some team email instead of handling it herself and honoring her employees mess up by lying to us. I’ve traveled the US not one gym has ever been this bad. Go to THE GYM, it’s 2 mins away and by far better!

Negative experience: The gym equipment is great. The issue is the staff, they don’t keep up with the paper dispensers to clean the equipment, they have an annoying attitude. Another things is how stupidly loud they play what they consider music. It difficult to listen to my own music when they’re blasting that intolerable noise.

Negative experience: I give this gym a 2 Star as a guest for 2 months now. My friend owns the premium membership. He brings me along everyday. It's been 2 months now and everyday as a guest they have you wait on the side and wait for a gym personnel to check you in. They make the check in process so unpleasant. Keep in mind he pays to have a guest. As a guest, you have to be checked in. First, they have him enter his phone. Second, they will ask for the guest ID and for him to enter his phone number. Third, the guest will fill out a form with all his contact information. Finally, they have him enter his phone number again and they read all the gym rules to the guest. This is every time even if you go everyday. If there's a line for new memberships you will be behind them at the end of the line. This is purposely done to annoy a person to pay for a full membership. This should be changed to a smoother process. Some people wanna get in and out. We don't want to wait sometimes 30 minutes to get in and work out after we worked all day for 12 hours. Time is of the essence. I am considering joining. But anyone that pays for the premium Its not worth it. I dont understand why it's called a premium and have to do this everyday. Anyway, the equipment is clean and in fair condition. If they change this process I'll change my rating .

Positive experience: Lots of machines but only one yoga area. If you do not pay for the highest premium membership you will be kicked out of any given area at any time if there is a class. The lowest monthly option ends up being closer to $35 a month with the fees not $25. If I'm paying for a membership and have to stop my workout because an employee asks me to leave an area where I'm not even in the way, it makes me want to stop spending my money at that establishment. All of us only have so many hours in a day and want to workout as quickly as possible. I've had to buy equipment so I can finish working out at home so at some point there will really be no point in coming.

Negative experience: My boyfriend and I had an altercation at Legends a few months ago. He had a membership, and I had entered the gym because no one was at the front desk. We were then approached very rudely by an employee named Karina and we were told that we had to pay a 20$ "sneaking in fee". Before we could even explain ourselves the 20 dollars was charged to the account. We were inside the gym for no longer than 5 minutes, and we paid for a day pass to not even be allowed to workout. My boyfriend asked to speak to the owner, because Karina was being disrespectful, rude, and condescending, and the owner asked us if "our parents taught us not to steal". We were baffled at the disrespect. The following day, my boyfriend received a call from Legends and they apologized to my boyfriend, telling him that they didn't want to leave a bad taste in his mouth, and that they would make it right when we came back in. Today, we drove an hour to come to Legends and Karina was working front desk again. We told her that we both wanted to buy a day pass, and she told me and my boyfriend to start filling out the information on the screen. I was halfway through filling it out when she asked me to wait because their system was down. My boyfriend was talking to his friend at the time, and she never mentioned to him to not fill out the form. I walked outside to get my water bottle from the car, and when I walked back in, he had already filled out the form and paid the 20 dollars by card (they claimed they don't accept cash, which is illegal). Karina told us that we weren't eligible for a day pass because of what happened months ago, and that if we wanted to workout, we needed to sign up. At this point, my boyfriend had already paid the 20 dollars for the day pass, and she told my boyfriend that "It was his fault" because "she told him to wait". She never told my boyfriend to wait to fill out the form. My boyfriend was then visibly upset, and asked for his money back, when Karina told us that the only way to get our money back was by emailing and asking for it back. My boyfriend told Karina that he was not going to leave until he got his money back, and finally Karina agreed and told us that it was handled. Not only did Karina lie to us, saying their system was down when it wasn't, but she was also extremely rude and unprofessional to PAYING customers. We were both willing to pay 40 dollars to workout for one day, and because of an altercation that happened months ago (which we apologized for), they didn't allow us to workout. This is the second time we've had a negative experience with Karina, who is supposedly a manager. I would encourage the owner of barbell to reevaluate their business decisions and encourage them to hire a better manager. Karina is childish, unprofessional, rude, condescending, and a liar.

Positive experience: Love it equipment is great and always clean. They have everything you may need. I love how everything is organized into sections for workouts. Big open space is also great. All they need now is a sauna.

Positive experience: Went here for a day pass. A little pricey at $20. Facility is clean with a lot of equipment. Only downside is there aren't a lot of plates spread around the floor and no locker rooms. There is a really nice smoothie/snack bar. Got a cookies and cream protein smoothie- gal behind the counter was kind enough to give me a calorie and macro count.

Negative experience: This gym is one of the worst gyms in the HD. The treadmills are a joke, ypu pick a program and then shutoff half way through. The gym doesn't offer anything different than other gyms besides space. This gym has no locker rooms or showers. The dressing rooms are from the old target. The leather is ripped on multiple machines. The gym is pretty pricey for only having on location. Weights are always thrown about. When people say this is the baddest gym I assume they mean in quality. Save your money and go to a gym where the owner actually takes pride in their gym not just trying to male money.

Fantastic experience: Update 20SEP2024: The gym's equipment is of the highest quality and is always being updated. There is never a wait for equipment, even early in the day. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great place to work out. This is the High Desert's premier fitness facility, which offers a welcoming and supportive environment for all fitness enthusiasts. The state-of-the-art equipment and knowledgeable staff are dedicated to helping you achieve your fitness goals. Whether you're interested in cardio, CrossFit, bodybuilding, or powerlifting, they have a space for you.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. They have lots of equipment, and despite it being a bit busy most of the time (not in an overwhelming matter, unless it's 6-8 pm on weekdays) you can hardly notice, since it's very spacious, and again they have lots of equipment around the place. It's almost been a year in since I've joined, and I've never really had any bad experiences in the place. Staff is nice/well mannered, and it's always clean (even in the bathrooms), and despite the membership being a bit pricey, I like how they seem to be making use of it, by buying new equipment, and maintaining the place like they promise. I will only suggest however, to perhaps get a new (easier to read) scale since the one they have doesn't seem to work...? it will really encourage a lot of us, but either way, really recommend <3
