THE GYM

Fantastic experience: THE GYM of Victorville is truly an awesome place to call home. They have plenty of well-maintained equipment, always kept clean, and the overall environment is top-notch—the lighting and music combo creates great energy for any workout. Customer service has been excellent since day one, with the friendly greetings when you walk in and out making a real difference. I also love that they have a full supplement shop in the front, offering everything from protein powders and pre-workouts to healthy snacks and drinks. They also have a full line up of gear, clothing and accessories that everyone appreciates. If I had a checklist of what makes a gym great, The Gym of Victorville would have every box checked—and then some.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. I like how they blast music and keep the lights low. Gets you in the zone. But I moved away so I canceled. I had no problems canceling idk what these people are talking about…

Positive experience: I was contacted by the manager who did issue me a refund. Therefore I will do right by this gym since they have done right by me.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, I canceled my membership ship due to moving, I also got a new credit card and they still kept billing my account, then just got billed for almost $200 when I haven’t checked in the gym over 300 days and tried to cancel. I would have went back to this gym when I move back to the High Desert in the next year but definitely won’t now, I tried to call to them about this and they were no help, just brushed it off like they don’t care.

Fantastic experience: Good gym if you don’t give crap about anyone or anything and just want to chase your pump. Low lighting, loud music and spacious. Add noise canceling headphones and it’s easy to lock in to the workout. The variety of equipment is also of good quality. About 3 smith machines, a load of benches and plenty cable crossovers. I could see it getting progressively more packed in busy hours but worth the foot traffic. Next door cafe is nice. Good price for a 50g protein smoothie. Overall nice gym was not expecting it in this area.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the high desert.

Fantastic experience: Great extension parking lot for Costco, it's where I usually have to park. Unfortunately for them, I don't need a gym membership after making the long trek to Costco and back. Maybe they should invest in a shuttle service for Costco customers, if we weren't so worn out from having to weave our 400 pound carts full of groceries half a mile through traffic I bet more people would consider a gym membership.

Negative experience: Worst gym

Negative experience: It’s true what the reviews say. Beware if you ever plan on canceling your membership they will charge you even after the cancellation date. And when you go to ask about it they will have an attitude. Make sure to get a paper copy or at least a picture of your cancellation form.

Positive experience: It's alright the way everyone talked about it I thought it'd be a little better. For the price I like the availability of machines that's cool but it sucks on the cable machines you can't swap attachments found that kind of annoying. Staff seemed kinda stuck up maybe just a bad day but whatever. Definitely be cool if they added a sauna as well. My old gym back home for the same price was a bit bigger more options they had a basketball court,pool, sauna, etc.

Positive experience: I like the club vibe, but the club music can be a bit much.

Negative experience: Plays old dad rap so loud

Negative experience: Don't buy merchandise from them. I ordered a shirt from them explained to them right away I didn't receive a email confirmation. I called again to ask about my shirt they said to check my email I told them again I didn't get an email confirmation. I followed up a couple weeks later said they mailed them out because I didn't come pick up my shirt. They never called to let me know it arrived then they said they mailed it. Customer service is horrible, don't buy any merch from them

Negative experience: They will not let you cancel membership unless you pay absurd fees that are stacking and will send it to collection this place is so garbage and cheap The goofs they have working there can catch hands in the ring they got.

Negative experience: I’ve worked at two gyms and was a personal trainer at one, and I’ve never experienced anything like what I did at this location. Unfortunately, I was treated unfairly by the staff and had to involve law enforcement to retrieve my belongings. As a kinesiology major and graduate, I’ve never encountered such an issue before in my career. I’ve visited many gyms throughout California, and this situation was disheartening. I hope the staff can improve how they handle situations to prevent others from having a similar experience.

Negative experience: I come to the gym all the time. I normally love it here.. i have been coming here for 2 years. I have a guest pass. I have brought my daughter several times who is 16 years old. It has never been an issue. I also know of other kids who are under 18 who come here . But today they said no, she can not work out because she is not 18 but yet they said I can buy her a membership . Then it's ok if she's 16 to come workout . That is crazy to me. I guess they pick and choose when they want to enforce this. DISAPPOINTED..

Positive experience: Nice gym and definitely no complaints.

Negative experience: They should call this gym (The Gym & Dating lounge) this is more is date site then an actual Gym sad but true people won’t say that cause they like what they get out of it but I been their and they got a lot of kool stuff but once people try to talk to my girl we had to leave if it wasn’t a gym like that then me and my lady would go back but it was to much to go back but again great equipment just to much of dudes hitting on girls

Negative experience: Worst place ever their employees feel intitled to block the road whenever they want. I was driving on my side of the road and an employee decided it was OK to speed up and stop right infront of me almost hitting my car and I had my son with me. I honked and he didn't bother to move instead he turned on his hazard lights and left his truck blocking me and any other car being able to go through.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best gym I have been to several gyms through my life the staff is the lighting can make you fill awkward but it’s a great atmosphere to be in this place it’s a big gym and the people here are like family if your serious about your gym journey this place will make you feel like home to hit your gym goals animo AL

Negative experience: New to the area and didn't understand just disgusting hate can feel when you're the only one who looks like you in The Gym. The predominately Mexican staff and black male personal trainer harassed me right outta there because I didn't know about a rule that, like a mirage, appeared when I broke it. Also, there is a mold issue in the 2nd to last women's shower that is easy to smell and is spreading. Wear flip flops or shower at home ladies.

Negative experience: If you're a fan of Edgar Cuts & Obscene gestures "ILS" imaginary lat syndrome. Come check it out, you'll 100% get your laugh. #Globo-Gym.

Negative experience: Rude, arrogant, inconsiderate employees and management. I can attest to other members issues with cancelling the month to month membership and their shady practices.

Fantastic experience: Crazy good gym with perfect lighting

Fantastic experience: I LOVE THIS GYM. Clean and well maintained. It's got all I need. Plus the rap music lyrics are funny ! Except the one not very good song about being suspected of selling drugs and the suspicions being correct. And the rapper was seemingly loud and proud that the suspicions where true.Really?Stick to the butt shaking music now that's entertainment .

Fantastic experience: This place got everything for a nice workout.

Negative experience: Allegedly, this gym is pro veterans and law enforcement... I canceled my membership in September 2023, and they were still charging me the $19.99 a month. I received a new bank card, and within the month they sent me to collections. I called the collections agency, and they tried to contact the manager they were told that the manager was busy and not available. I called the TG The Gym in Victorville they told me the same thing "that the manager was busy and not available " the sales person that answered the phone was rude and unprofessional after I requested to speak with the manager. I am a veteran and active law enforcement officer. From my experience they care less for veteran and law enforcement members.

Positive experience: Nice place but to many persons trying to get realy hudge.

Negative experience: I recently moved to to victor vill and been trying to call this gym for information on memberships and about the facilities can’t seem to get ahold of them called like 7 times ‍♂️

Positive experience: Love it but it gets way to packed and it’s hard to find equipment … we need another one in Hesperia:)

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere. Paint/decorated for the performance minded. Awesome lighting. Music usually on point.

Positive experience: Used to be the top gym, in my opinion, but unfortunately, equipment isn't well maintained, making it common to find out of order equipment or have a treadmill ramdomly stop due to sensors not detecing a user ( almost fell multiple times). Irrelevant to the gym, but it's common that die-hard gym goers take up the only 2 pully machines in working order for themselves ‍.

Negative experience: Owned by a beta male. Low intellect, poor ethics, shady business tactics, and nepotism. You will not be valued as a customer here, so I suggest you take your money to somewhere where you will be. They make fun of their customers, verbally abuse them, and then throw them out for no reason. Additionally, the owner, Jacob Lewis, committed a crime when he participated in the riots of the January 6th attack on the Capitol. Supporting these criminals would be a loss for you when there are good gyms out there who won’t do these things to you or promote evil behavior. If the employees have a bad day, they will take it out on you, using you as an emotional punching bag, knowing that the owners will still defend them. They favor and enable their relative and employee Cole in particular, who is the poster child for these bad behaviors, despite knowing how damaging he is to people and to their business. Stay away!

Negative experience: Horrible manager he’s rude and cocky ..really get the vibe there racial against anyone not white …there’s no vibe of feeling comfortable there I’m so glad I’m no longer a member there

Negative experience: Same story as a lot of other members here. I canceled my membership months ago and filled out the paperwork. I read my credit card statement months later to see they've been charging me this whole time. The gym is overall not very good for the price, but the shady business practices is the biggest reason to stay clear of this place. Last time I went in I got proof that I canceled my membership, but I won't be surprised at all if they're still going to charge me.

Positive experience: I was looking for a gym near my house. Its right around the corner from me. Im not a member here though. Reasons being they don't have a pool or Zumba classes, which suck bcuz I really would like to come this gym because they accept my medical gym plan... But I settled for the one next door bcuz like I said they don't have a pool or classes like Zumba, only con is that I have to pay out pocket jus for this. Overall the little experience I did have there was pretty kool experience since it not all bright like most gyms are. I wish they had these features so I could switch gyms

Positive experience: They have a lot of equipment, but it does give you the feel of like this is a pro gym.

Fantastic experience: Hands down, best gym I've been to. Equipment is great, employees are nice, and the gym is clean.

Negative experience: The most unprofessional gym. Equipment great. Staff absolutely horrid. This gym needs new management.

Positive experience: Has pretty much everything you may need at the gym. Steam room and Sauna is a plus . The downside is that a lot of the equipment is scattered, and equipment is hard to find if you're new.

Negative experience: DONT GO!!! Extremely filthy, the employees are behaving like entitled kids. If you want to go to a gym for a terrible experience go here but if you just want to wo workout don’t. One of the worst gyms I’ve ever been to.

Positive experience: Here's my list of pros and cons for this gym. As a person who used to be a personal trainer I've been to many gyms and I've been at this gym for around 2 years give or take. There's a lot of positives and negatives about this gym and it really depends on your personal goals. Pros: This place has the best workout culture I've seen in a gym which allows you to workout as hard as you want without any issues compared to other gyms (mostly large commercial gyms) Probably the best selection of gym equipment I've seen and now they have more deadlifting areas along with a lot of squat racks. In general they do a great job at adding more equipment. When I first signed up for this gym there was no down payment and the gym events they have are golden. Cons: A major issue I've had with this gym is the limited use of the AC especially in the summer months. Every gym I've been to has the AC on and since this gym has so many members I don't understand why they don't turn it on which leads to my next point. Some areas can get very crowded. Mostly the benching area and the dumbell areas. I understand it's a space issue but it should be noted if you do not enjoy getting up early or working out super late. Overall it's a great gym to go to with some of the best equipment I've ever seen in a gym but the only thing that's really holding it back is their use of the ac which, in reality, is going to be a problem for most people. Although this gym is not perfect, it's my go to place for working out. If the AC was used daily I would give it an easy 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym been coming here for years, don't see about all the negativity, they keep they're stuff clean, staff is always nice, one of their sinks don't work in the women's restroom, easy fix though. I love how dimmed the lights are, I have sensitive eyes to light and all the other gyms have such bright lights I can't focus on my workouts. Also makes it looks nicer. Also loved the fact they didn't closed during covid, my safe space was that big empty room during that time.

Negative experience: I canceled my membership at the end of June and now they are claiming I never canceled when I showed up in person and signed paperwork with the manager to cancel. Manager was supposed to return a call to go over details and I'm still not receiving any follow ups.

Negative experience: ***BEWARE*** this gym likes to send people to collections and make the amount more than what it is on the collection notice. I got a new card and assumed since they can’t charge me then the membership will be canceled but I was wrong. I have to go the legal route to deal with this but this is ridiculous I have never had this problem with any other gym. I haven’t been here since February and have tried calling multiple times but no answer and instead of reaching out (they say they email but they don’t) or sending some type of notice they automatically go for sending people to collections which can damage someone’s credit. ***Update*** Also went in to cancel and they’re not letting me because of the debt! So until I figure it out my account is going to continue to rack up these charges. They also say you have to call the debt collector to pay the debt. I personally don’t want to give out my card information over the phone so I don’t know what’s going to happen.

Fantastic experience: This facility is my greatest asset. Good music, members become family. This is definitely a great place to relieve stress. The sauna is also a great addition

Positive experience: This place is wild. I'm never totally sure if I love it or put off. That being said, others probably love or hate this gym. I think I might love it. The music is loud. Not blasting, but loud. Always rap/hip-hop. The lighting is low. All warm tones, but no white. Only red oranges and yellows. There is a TON of equipment with some of the best variety I've seen. The space is huge. All equipment is late model and good quality. It is constantly busy. An absolute zoo in the afternoon to early evening. And it's a meat market if you're a single person. Many people are working out with really good intensity. There are sauna, steam room and showers in the bathroom. Weird lighting in the bathroom, too. The staff is super nice. They will also sell you merch. My wife is a big fan of the sport bras and pants.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely my favorite gym on the west coast!!! The equipment, the spaciousness, atmosphere. This place brings out the inner beast in you. Their wide selection of supplements, shakes, and workout attire will never have you lacking. I truly recommend The Gym if you want to get and stay serious about your workout journey

Fantastic experience: i want to take some time to thank the staff and management at world gym for all there help looking into a matter that was a misunderstanding. simple as that, but to get a personal call from the owner just to see if he can help resolve any issue make me feel that this gyms is a special place that really caters to its members and is concern for even the smallest thing. Wow, there not many place like that. I'm happy to say all question answered and I'm a proud member of this wonderful family....worlds gym family...thank you guys for just being awesome!!!!

Fantastic experience: I was a member for 15 years, I had to leave due to old management and owner. Recently one of my friends told me I had to come back because there is new ownership, they are doing great things with the place.. So i did, and i love it one of the owners even gave me a free personal training session.. #goodpeople #awesomegym

Fantastic experience: The new world gym is awesome! New equipment, great floor design, enough machines to use even during traffic hours. The lockers and showers are nice. And the environment is just full of energy...like everyone there is excited to workout. Love it!!!

Fantastic experience: BRING ICE!! All drinking fountains have had warm water… for months! Or you can buy cold water up front :$3 a bottle

Positive experience: I haven't been there in almost 2 years because of the pandemic. They make it difficult to cancel or change membership.

Negative experience: This guy (the owner) goes around making videos of himself yelling at the homeless. Jacob I believe his name is. He is absolute garbage and his business needs to be protested until its shutdown!

Negative experience: This gym is geared for a certain kind of person with specific/limited workout routines. However, the equipment is in very good shape and The gym is kept very clean and orderly. Not a place for me.

Positive experience: Helped me start my strength training journey with their trainers. Very supportive team. Only thing I wish was there was just more equipment. Always having to wait for machines.

Negative experience: The gym seems more of a gym for males. The 4 or 4 women I saw, didn't look like they were there to work out , more like trying to catch a man there. The females there wearing tights, with their going out to the club makeup on, their hair straightened, or curled. I clearly feel this is more of a guy gym

Negative experience: Nice gym, but Horrible experience! MAKE SURE WHEN YOU CANCEL you save your document, went in in person to sign a cancellation with a rep. 11/2020. They didn’t process it And have been charging my card for 1 year!!!! I left for a travel assignment don’t live anywhere near the high desert anymore and found out from my bank there have been recurring $29.99 fees for a whole year despite me paying one whole month cause you need 30 days to cancel. The manager Paula was extremely rude and told me you need a certified letter refused to look at activity to prove my case also asked me to produce a cancellation copy from 2 years ago. Make sure to keep your COPY and WATCH YOUR BANK ACCT. with recurring charges. Total what was charged after cancellation was approx $400!!

Fantastic experience: Best Gym in the HD. Came from Planet Fitness (after they kicked me out for not wearing a mask) and came here. No regrets. My workout and progress is 10x what it was at the other gym. I love going and I call it my 2nd home now.

Fantastic experience: I go here when on work trips and so far it’s been a good experience. The atmosphere is fun compared to your run of the mill average gym. The lights are dimmed, music playing in the background, with quality equipment all around. The gym is laid out well and I find all machines and equipment necessary to get a good workout in.

Fantastic experience: The gym is great they have all kinds of equipment for all kinds of people to do various exercises. The only thing I would like to recommend is to change the light inside the gym. It's kinda dark and not well lit so with weights and machines there should before light inside. Currently it's dark and red inside. Other than that it's a good gym to workout.

Fantastic experience: Love coming to The Gym! Lots of equipment and space to work out. Staff is friendly and professional. I particularly want to mention Ashley. I had questions about supplements and machines and she was very informative and helpful. I am always scared to try new supplements but she knew so much about them it made it easy.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym, very social and outgoing. Especially, since I have Autism, they handled me with great curtesy. It is also a place I like to go workout with my brother and meet new people. The owner seems cool, he reminds me of Duke Nukem, which is a plus; its good to see an owner that is fit running a gym.
