Fantastic experience: Pool, machines/equipment and sauna are great. I am also very happy with the personal trainer, Bradley - who has made a big difference in my strength and muscle development over the last few months. I highly recommend Bradley and working out at the AAC!

Positive experience: Love the place!…but can’t understand being closed on such Holidays as Veteran's day or the day after Thanksgiving! Theses are the days most people really have extra time to use. it.But it seems it is more important to benefit the small staff having such days off leaving the Addison residences shut out!

Positive experience: This place has everything you need for a total body work out. In addition, sauna steam room, two pools, amongst a few other options. The building is well maintained and clean. I'm glad I signed up.

Negative experience: Called to ask whether you had to have an Addison specific address - even if we are living 2 minutes from this location - and the guy on the phone was very rude. Totally makes sense that you do but he didn’t need to be rude about it. He hung up on me right before I said thank you…

Fantastic experience: Awesome, well kept, modern equipment, and pleasant staff. Got everything you want in a gym (indoor track, basketball, pool, weights, whirlpool, raquet ball, pingpong, aerobics, etc) The gym for workout introverts. People workout and bounce. Love the lockers, and pool. The men's steam room smells of feet and eucalyptus in the evening. Go before 5 and it's fine.

Positive experience: This place is great. They have weights, lots of cardio machines, outdoor pool, an indoor lap pool, hot tub, steam room, basketball court, pickleball courts (outdoor), racquetball courts and more. They are mission a few essential weights (like a squat bar or deadlifting area), but you can still do most of what you want. Parking is great. Never too busy. Wish the outdoor pool was open longer.

Negative experience: Bigots completely. All of my documents were accurate. My ID has an addison address. All my bills and statements are in Addison. I have my lease and the fee. But because my old Addison address is different than my new Addison address they said I can't be a member. Whole time I've seen them accept other now members with various addresses. The 1st guy was fine. Then a young white guy said "no we cant". I'm filing an official complaint with the city, and may sue for discrimination. Seeing as litigation is my profession I'll gladly do this, because I felt less than human listening to him lie like that.

Positive experience: Being new to Addison a year ago , this was a nice place to join ,especially the low onetime fee and as long as you are a resident of Addison ,its free after that. I do not agree with another reviewer that said it's not fair that non Addison residents cant use the outdoor pool anymore without a member escorting them as a visitor. In my opinion, that is perfectly fair, If you are not a resident, you should not be permitted to come in unless there is a member with you because of overcrowding and undesirables just walking in off the street. and another reviewer mentioned that nowhere did it say in their website did it mention membership rules pertaining to non residents. When I joined, it clearly stated that if you were not a resident that you would need a member to escort you in as a visitor and pay a fee so that reviewer is wrong. The only reason I do not give it a 5 out of 5 is because of people who bring undisciplined kids to the pool and all their pool toys . This is a public pool people. It is not your own private personal backyard pool - I don't know how many times I've stayed at a hotel or gone to a public pool where people throw their pool toys everywhere . And you end up stepping on them and hurting yourself. leave the pool junk at home - save that stuff for a private pool at a family members house. and i dont know how many times ive had to deal with screaming kids throwing things or parents with babies too small for a pool blocking the stairs to get out of the pool. leave the baby at home with a sitter. its not safe for a baby ,very easy for a baby to drown or get sun poisoning.

Fantastic experience: At Addison Athletic Club, you'll love the laid-back vibe with plenty of space to work out. It's not usually crowded, so you can enjoy a more relaxed and stress-free exercise session.

Negative experience: I would love to say that I have seen the wonderful things some reviewers have pointed out, but alas I can not. I have lived in town for over 3 years but since I am on disability and can only afford a room at the Budget Suites I am treated like a peasant that doesn't belong with the elite. Like I am merely a transient that doesn't belong. I have never felt more judged than when I tried to join.

Fantastic experience: Great rec facility with all varieties of modern fitness equipment, racquetball courts, basketball or pickleball courts, swimming pool, lockers, showers, sauna rooms, etc. and friendly and exceptional staff! My pickleball journey started here in October 2021 !!

Fantastic experience: Excellent renovation. Great weights and plenty of different areas with different machines. Tennis, pickle ball, volleyball and two pools. Great staff that is very helpful!

Fantastic experience: This place is not like a regular gym but has a great pool, shower room, steam room, sauna, and many program activities. The cost is extremely affordable for local residents. The staff is super nice, and the facility is clean. Frequently, the center was remodeled. Fair amount of treadmills and stair climbers. A weight room and good walking tracking. Basketball and racquetball courts are available. It feels very homey and comfortable.

Positive experience: Outstanding value for residents of Addison! Recently renovated with new equipment and fresh paint. Clean and secure. Has a Country Club feel. Lots of options on this campus from indoor and outdoor swimming to the large gym area with free and machine weights. Additional room for TRX, stretching and weight work. Basketball and other court sports. Indoor running track. Sauna and steam room included! Worth a tour. Check it out.

Indoor and Outdoor Pools(Best for family fun!) 3. Super friendly Staff. 4. Always clean, less crowded than other fitness clubs 5. Provide yoga classes, workout classes in reasonable price 6. Opens at 5:00 am in the morning (8:00 am on weekends) and close and 10:00 pm (8:00 pm on weekends) 7. Always improving...just added TRX recently... Wonderful job, Addison Athletic Club, my favorite place in Addison besides my apartment! :)

Fantastic experience: I'm sorry if you're not an Addison resident, but this gym is the best! I'm so grateful I get to enjoy the facility and the awesome outdoor pool. They just renovated the locker rooms and omg they are incredible!

I live at Vitruvian West and I pay a pretty penny to live in this community. I'm tired of living in spaces that only benefit a few. Much like the world we live in. Thanks

Fantastic experience: There is a variety of gym equipment for our workouts. I love the idea of sanitation station dispensaries and wipes to keep us safe from COVID-19. Also we are greeted with a friendly smile, a hello, or a goodbye.

Fantastic experience: It’s a wonderful facility and I’m so glad I live just down the street. It’s got everything one would want in a gym. I love the indoor track. The treadmill and bikes are great too, but I just love going at my own pace. Indoor pool. The outdoor pool is nice and can get crowded during the summer. Basketball. All the weights are great too. I’ve used the steam room in hope It’ll help with allergies.

Positive experience: This is a really nice club to have, and for $1 a year as a resident of Addison it’s fantastic. That being said, the weight room leaves a lot to be desired. The classes are fantastic though, I just wish they had a better weight area.

Negative experience: This place has become extremely pretentious and closed off. I spent my entire childhood coming here. The pool used to be open to public with non member fee and I would utilize it even as an adult. Now it is open to members only. No information stated this on the parks website. How stuck up can you be? Very disappointed with what this place has become! It used to be a happy place.

My apartment pool is currently under construction so I was missing the pool. I was concerned about how this would work in the times of COVID 19, but I was pleasantly surprised. Masks were required to enter and exit and I wore mine to the restroom as well. It was practically empty so social distancing was easy! The pool itself is beautiful. I love all the water features! I will definitely be back soon!

Positive experience: Decent gym but the pool needs a lot more chlorine, the carpeting in the men's changing room needs to be tossed out and replaced with tile (it's pretty gross and smells like old socks), and the gym needs to develop exercise classes that more closely reflects the community. As it stands, this gym is geared towards senior citizens. The group fit classes are all for the 65+ crowd and the scheduling is done in such a way as to prevent younger professionals from taking part in anything remotely close to what they might want to take. How about a crossfit class that meets 3x times/week from 7:30-8:30pm?

Positive experience: What can I see it's a free gym for those that live in the city of Addison . Plenty of equipment , raquetball, nice well maintained pools. My only complaint is the lack of a bench / squat rack

Negative experience: Nice club. But, you must have a Texas driver's license to be a member. Even if you own a property and live there, if you don't have a Texas driver's license you can't be a member. Real ID makes this impossible for multiple house owners in multiple states...

Positive experience: I would not recommend this gym for competitive lifters. For 10 dollars a year this membership is useful and does have quite a few options for you as a member. The area was well kept and clean. I would have preferred to see more free weights.

Positive experience: Would love to have this facility available 24 hours or have extended times till 1 am everyday. Membership can be raised to $20 if needed. Would also like to see an internet digital jukebox where members can pay for their music in the free weights and circuit machines areas. I usually prefer not to carry wireless earphones or headphones. A chair masseuse would be a nice option. Note that you must bring your own shampoo, conditioner and towels. Staff great! However, I wasn't allowed to kiss my girlfriend briefly while in the pool.
