Fantastic experience: The staff at GRIP are friendly and knowledgeable, they will help you wherever you are in your fitness journey. The nutrition and fitness training is customized and the space is welcoming and not intimidating. The value you get for your money is much better than other personal training gyms in the area. Fantastic experience: I started going to GRIP six months ago to help rehabilitate my leg with a knee replacement. The trainers, Brad and Evan, have not only helped strengthen the leg with my replacement knee but also helped strengthen and align my entire body. They are prepared with excellent programs and always right on time to start and finish. They keep me disciplined with exercise as well as diet. I highly recommend GRIP for anyone looking to improve their overall physical health.

Fantastic experience: I have broad range of experience working out with different personal trainers. I can say, without hesitation, thar the staff at GRIP is the most knowledgeable and dedicated training staff I have worked with over my 30+ years in working with private trainers. Mitch and his team take a comprehensive view to fitness, focusing not only on strength, cardio, and flexibility, but also on diet and mental health aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Each of the trainers is extremely professional and personal, and also very knowledgeable when it comes to proper technique and training methods. The facilities are also extremely well lit and clean, and the range of equipment rivals any other larger facility. Overall, GRIP is a fantastic resource in Grand Rapids, and I highly recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: When I first walked into grip in late September I was 6’8” and 408 lbs. At the beginning of February I came in at 342 lbs. Thanks for everything Grip has done for me so far. Evan is a really great trainer and with the current program we’re really pushing boundaries. By the end of it the progress is going to be incredible. Even my progress thus far has been incredible and I can’t wait to see myself a year from now. Every single member of Grip’s staff is so kind and it’s touching that they take the time to do stuff like remember my name or give me pointers on foods to eat or stretches or even just form improvements on exercises. But Evan is a different breed. He’s kind and I can tell that he believes in the work I’m doing and is constantly there supporting me. Not only do I look forward to each and every one of my workouts, even after I’m absolutely destroyed after the last one, I’m pumped up and excited to come in for the next one. It’s a highlight of my day, week, month, life whenever I enter your gym. So I just wanted to say thanks for everything so far and I can’t wait for the next time to I get to push past my limits and see what this body can really do.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t find the sixth star. It is impossible to overstate how much of a positive impact GRIP has had on my life. It’s more than a gym. GRIP is a community where I’ve learned the skills to become a more well-rounded person, focused on maximizing my potential in all areas of my life. Mitch and his team have made me healthier, more focused and somehow, even better at my job. I’ve learned how to eat, how to sleep, how to workout and how to best care for myself. Fantastic experience: I cannot tell how much I appreciate everything Mitch and the GRIP Center has done for my husband and I. After decades of yo-yo dieting and trying just about every weight loss program, Mitch provided the tools necessary for lasting success. The meal plans, grocery lists, and recipes combined the their workouts are second to none. I am in better shape now than I was in high school and have maintained a healthy weight for over two years thus far. My husband has dropped over 100 lbs. and is closer to his goal every workout. We highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: I have been training at GRIP for almost 2 years now, and it isnt easy but the results and knowledge are awesome. The trainers seriously know their stuff and some of the technology they have available to give you more targeted information about what your body is doing, and the progress you are making is crazy! In addition to the staff, the other members/clients are all "in it to win it" and the overall vibe is unmatched anywhere.

Fantastic experience: Here's the thing with gyms. You can go anywhere and workout. Here's what, for my wife and I, is different about GRIP than anywhere else we've been. We know that every investment of time and money we spend here is going to yield results. Because the team at GRIP is so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, they custom tailor programs (including exercise, nutrition, lifestyle) for each individual. Nowhere else have we ever felt so confident that what we were doing was actually the right thing. Turns out riding the same elliptical every day for 45 minutes is not the key to success. Neither is strictly counting calories or in general listening to conventional wisdom. Who knew? Next is variety. Our individual program changes, our nutritional goals change, various individual and group challenges (if you want to participate) change. If you want to try something different you just ask. “Can we do bodyweight exercise today?” or “How can I change my eating schedule to get better sleep?” are fair game at GRIP. They’ll have answers and metrics to help you along the way. Community is big too. Whether it’s the GRIP team, the people there working out, or the online groups, you feel like you’re part of something. You feel like you’re successes and failures are shared and empathized by others. It makes you want to SHOW UP. It just feels good. It’s fun. Whether you are intrinsically or extrinsically motivated GRIP has you covered. Our GRIP appointments are something we look forward to, and when we leave we feel better (and smarter) than when we walked in. GRIP has given us the tools to meaningfully affect our long-term health and overall quality of life. There is no other product or service that has done the same for us. Fantastic experience: HIGHLY recommend GRIP Center. I've been involved in athletics and fitness for three decades, and GRIP helped me find long-sought solutions to reducing my body fat, improving my nutrition and eating patterns, and pushing my training to the next level. I worked on my own to do an unassisted pull-up for so long and couldn't get it. But GRIP showed me what I was missing to accomplish that goal. Now my pull ups are like butta. If you are looking for the most knowledgeable trainer in the area--who tells it like it is without any sugar coating, see Mitch. Lucky for him, he's funny enough to make all the tough love manageable. He's data driven and pivots when the data feedback indicates something different is needed. His whole staff is fantastic and they make the experience feel personalized so that you get the help and the changes you want. Also no annoying long-term contract commitments. You stay because they deliver. I cannot put enough stars on this recommendation. LOVE GRIP!
