Hendrick Health Club

Positive experience: Ron and his staff are absolutely amazing people. Awesome equipment and atmosphere. Locker rooms and showers are always clean. I just wish the prices were better and the contracts not as long. Then I could come back.

Negative experience: Not a gym it's a (health club). So keep your mouth shut and dress to empress..guys no muscle shirts..woman it seems to be ok..staff are unfriendly and snobby..when the manager come out of there office the staff start moving and smiling..it amazing to watch..

Fantastic experience: Hendrick Health Club has been a wonderful experience. Everyone has been kind and personable. The kidz zone has absolutely been the reason we go and continue to go! The women there who watch the kids are fun and love children. The machines are new and clean and the t.v's are huge! Lots of areas to work out in and the outdoor basketball court has been fun to use. I really enjoy going there and taking my kids! If you're feeling a smoothie, the Elvis is the best!

Positive experience: A little too small for me and "NO LEGITIMATE" court or pool that I know of. Other than that it's a clear and easy 5 star. And a little too pricey for most, but that's by design. (I was a member, I have seen the pool, Thank you)

Positive experience: A week ago I started shopping around for a gym in the Abilene area. I took a tour of Hendrick Health Club because I liked that they offered Les Mills classes. The gentleman that gave me a tour was very resourceful and understanding to my needs. My decision to not become a member with them was mainly because their hours of operation were not flexible to my schedule.

Positive experience: The hours should be 24 hours or at least 7 days a week for the price of the membership. But great place to workout, love the smoothie bar.

Fantastic experience: I joined Hendrick Health Club about 8 months ago and I LOVE it! It has challenged fitness goals and I can really feel a difference. I do multiple group classes 5 days a week and they are all awesome. The instructors and people who go there are all so nice and encouraging. If I had to complain at all the only thing I would say is that a couple of classes are very busy and sometimes I can't get a spot. Other than that, it is a great place to workout and I look forward to it every day!

Fantastic experience: This is the best health club I've ever attended. Excellent class exercise leaders, Every instructor that leads the class is wonderful, i.e., knowledgeable, helpful, positive. The classroom is clean and apparently germ free. I haven't had a cold since I've been going in three years. We have the opportunity to take a Zumba class as well as our exercise class. We aren't encouraged to do things that are too strenuous, we stay at our Silver and Fit level. The price is right too. Oh, maybe the most important thing about my Hendrick Health Club membership is the health improvement I've had, my cholesterol dropped several points and also my weight dropped 10 pounds the first month or so. I wasn't dieting, I suppose it was the added activity three times a week.

The staff was always friendly, accommodating and concerned when I had a health issue while excising that required professional intervention. I go somewhere else now because I moved from the Abilene area. Try them you will be treated courteously by very friendly staff members.

Positive experience: The facilities are excellant. The programs are geared towards a young adult population. The Seniors program is adaptable and challenging. I very much enjoyed the Seniors program however, the participants were allowed to make and break rules about seating arrangements. cliques are formed and became abusive.

Fantastic experience: HHC is my favorite place to be! I always look forward to "me time" when I can burn off the day's stress and just SWEAT. There's a huge variety of fitness tools at my disposal, but my favorite way to sweat is at the Les Mills group exercise class called BodyJam, the best dance-inspired workout ever! I love that the facility is always clean, and that the atmosphere is so comfortable. It's nice to go where everyone knows my name, and nobody is judging me for what I do (or don't do), or how I look or what I wear. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy going to this gym! They always say hello as you walk in or goodbye as you leave. All their instructors and trainers are very encouraging when you take classes! Wouldn't want to go to any other gym!

Positive experience: Only open until 8pm weekdays and 3pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday, not convenient.
