Fantastic experience: I attended this gym for about a year and planning to go back. If you’re looking for a serious gym, that is beginner friendly, even offers private sessions, and teaches things that actually works and are practical this is the perfect gym. It doesn’t matter if you just want a fun intense and challenging workout, wanna be able to defend yourself, or if you are looking into competitive fighting, the gym is very welcoming and for everyone. You won’t run into egomaniacs, and you won’t just be tossed to the wolves or be used as a practice dummy. They also have a schedule that no brown adult should have a problems comprehending.

Fantastic experience: Top Flight MMA greeted me with open arms as a walk-in curious about getting into better shape. They provided a tour and a trial session to check it out. Coaches set me up for success with equipment and motivation! High energy and expertise in a large variety of styles!

Negative experience: Beware. They will charge you for a year without a chance to cancel and will not work with you in order to fix the issue, they will simply toss it back and forth between themselves and the second hand agency they use for payment collections. Insight into the issue: My son went two times to this facility in December 2021 and, due to no fault of the instructors, was just not into it. The instructors were kind and the class was fine. We decided not to go back although we paid for three months of courses. We cut our losses on our $300+ bucks since he was the one who didn't enjoy it. April 2022, we are entered into a 1 year contract and notified via email. The cancelation notice we were supposed to have recieved was not sent and we were being charged $2,323. I called the billing company and top flight, and both said the other had the ability to fix the issue. As you can guess, neither would. My options were to pay a minimum of $400 (on top of the $300 we already cut our losses on, or pay the full amount monthly. I told them I would like to see a contract and it was never produced Now, august of 2022 I am getting a collection notice for the amount. I never asked them to refund what we agreed to, I simply asked that they recognize the oversight and let the billing company know we did not renew. I'm not sure why it is so complicated an issue, and I'm waiting on my cancelation notice or for them to produce the contract I supposedly signed in April of 2022. The fact they would prefer to have a family out $2,323 or $700 at the least is beyond frustrating, especially in 2022. At this point I'm lost and this review is a last ditch effort. UPDATE: I put in a claim with the Better Business Bureau and finally got a hold of the 'contract' I signed. My collections account magically vanished once I submitted the contract, that looked as though Ron (the owner) had signed the owner portion and the customer portion. Please, advocate for yourself and ask for the signed contract when you are dealing with this awful saga of trying to cancel.

Negative experience: Beware of the contract, I was told I was able to do a 3 month trial and when I went to cancel I was told I wasn’t able to. I was forced to get my CC company involved to reject the charges.

Negative experience: Contracts are a nightmare to get out of. After my 6 month promotional period ended, I was automatically enrolled in a year long contract, needing to pay an additional 2 months to cancel. Ignoring that, the classes are informative and intense.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym! This is the best MMA gym in the area hands down. If you’re looking to learn Bjj, kickboxing, and wrestling this is the place to be. The coaches really put a lot of effort into training their fighters.

Positive experience: Went here for about a year. Great place and a good environment! Helped me drop 50 pounds-ish. Shoutout to coach ron. Only complaint i have is the contract. It was a PAIN to get out of and took almost a year to get out of. I got too swamped up with school and work and had no time to go and still got charged. So if you go here just be aware of the contract. Im sure its not topflight itself but the billing company they work with. Like i said before, great place, but the contract was difficult to deal with.

Fantastic experience: I started at Top Flight in July of 2022 with no experience in fighting. I joined Brazilian Jit Jitsu with the goal of learning control for my job in law enforcement. I quickly learned my weaknesses and became obsessed with the training by Coach Seldon and Stallings. Both have a wealth of knowledge from self defense in real life and competition that is second to none. The Jit Jitsu training has lead me to winning 2nd and 1st place in competitions. This year I decided to start the kick boxing class after seeing the younger MMA fighters winning. Within 2 months my cardio has improved and rhe confidence to defend myself in a standing confrontation has also gone up due to the coaching from Coach Joey and the MMA fighters. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed while also teaching solid fundamentals.

Fantastic experience: Best environment for a gym I have ever seen. You are treated better than family here. I always want to do my best when I'm there, not because of anything but Brother Ron and his crew deserve that effort.

Negative experience: New to the sport and the gym. Wasn't informed or guided well. Asked for one on one, didn't get it. Wanted kick boxing was told of all other classes. .. Reached out, no response from the coach. Well, they got what they wanted..the money.. well the credit will gladly take the hit for the rest. Yall not get anymore money from me. I wish all the best. Majorly disappointed

Fantastic experience: Post pandemic, I was looking for an actively to keep my son busy, build his confidence, and off of the electronics all day. I found Top Flight with a simply Google search. My son participated in a free practice class, and loved it! He's been training with the great coaches at Top Flight a little over 1 year now. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and are Determined to help you meet your physical fitness and weight loss goals. I am starting to see the toning and weight loss. As women, I feel we are always putting everything and everyone before our health. Yes, I am tired most evenings and I wear several hats as a working mom, grandma, wife, and long-distance care taker for my elderly parents. This year I am determined for at least two times a week to make exercise a priority for my well being and longevity. My health has become an equally important aspect of my life. Fantastic experience: My experience at Top Flight MMA has been one that I will always cherish. I've met some many great people and the service I have recieved has been awesome as well. Top Flight MMA has really helped develop my skills tremendously. After training here for 9 months I received an early opportunity at an MMA fight which ended in a 27 second TKO victory and I am really excited about the direction my career is headed under their supervision. I honestly cannot see myself ever training at another gym. I recommend Top Flight MMA to anybody looking to receive the awesome training and results they have been searching for.

Negative experience: Worst gym ever they won’t let us canceled are membership and I haven’t been there I’m 4 mouth and they are taking money out my account still and I been trying to cancel it and they won’t let me because it is in the “contract” now I almost 1000 dollars because they wouldn’t let me cancel it. Boxing training sucks you only learned 1 2 combos stuff you can learn at your house don’t do it !! Promise you it’s a scam

Fantastic experience: I've been bringing my son to this gym for 6 years now. They are not just a gym they are family. 90% of the students are on honor roll. And during covid we parents know how important it is to have a safe space to take our kids and get them the assistance they need with school. During training they work well with the kids and give them individual attention to work on technique. When I take classes I can honestly tell you, I feel stronger every time I leave. The boxing and kickboxing class is no joke! If you are looking for the all body cardio, strength training and a way to ensure you can defend yourself, this is must try. During Covid I can honestly say I feel safer at the gym than I do at the grocery store.

Negative experience: Not transparent about the contract. You will get tricked into this contract if you don’t realize. They are disputing google reviews to get a higher rating. I’m sure a lot of people have had reviews removed. I left one last year and it’s gone. Just wanted to make sure it was known.

Fantastic experience: Took my son there to get some experience from Coach Ron and I was insanely impressed. The gym is amazing, coach Ron and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable and very professional. I highly recommend Top Flight for men, women and kids!

Fantastic experience: Started here at top flight a year ago. Was looking for a place to continue my training along with switch up my style of fitness. I was trying to initially drop weight but I gained a skill out of it as well. Not only was I dropping weight I gained a skill and passion for mma (particularly striking). I tell people to come here everyday because you will find out what your body is capable of and in terms if fitness you'll get the best workout ever. Negative experience: Stay away please. Discipline is the last thing they teach, they do not have any curriculum or any program to follow. However is there will teach wathever they feel like to. Not to mention trying to withtraw from it.. its a real fight to get it done. We had to relocate due to military PCS and it took them 10 months to cancel it. While of course charging every month! Funny how this posted after 3 yrs I have done this review and because I updated the account!!! But yet now is when I received an answer and is only to say I cant follow instructions!!! Lol!!!! You will be surprised!!! I am a proud mother of a youth black belt in Karate/Ninjutsu and a brown belt!!!! So NO your school wasnt a good fit for my family because you did not follow any curriculum at all 3 yrs ago!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I’m relatively new to Top Flight MMA, but my experience so far has been wonderful. I’ll admit that initially I felt a little intimidated because I’m older and this is all new to me, but my experience before I even walked in the door was sincere encouragement and welcoming. I was able to tour the gym, watch the coaches work with the students and ask a million questions. Every question was answered with patience and enthusiasm. I’m not as nervous anymore, I truly believe that they will get me to the “wait! I can’t believe I just did that!” sooner rather than later.

Fantastic experience: I have not been a part of the Top Flight family in a long time. I decided to sign up for boxing classes and afterwards asked myself what did I get into...lol. It was my first class and I wasn't sure if I could keep up with everyone else. Well encouragement was coming from everyone Coach Ron, Coach Joey and my classmates!!!! I'll definitely be back and I'm excited about my new transformation that's on the way!!!!

Fantastic experience: I can only speak to the youth program. Not the most fancy place, but they're here to work, not lounge out. Instruction for the kids is rigorous but age appropriate- challenging them to build on basics and remember what they've learned, all while getting stronger, better balanced, and more coordinated without even focusing on those attributes. Nice folks, friendly faces, and the kids feel welcome, safe, and valued. You should see the smiles when they advance. Love the "square-up" and the Oath. Our children are going to be leaders someday. I’m now 20 and I can say that I would not be the person I am today without the skillset and discipline that I learned at Top Flight. The atmosphere and level of instruction are great. Fantastic experience: Our family have utilizes Top Flight MMA services in many different ways. Our children have participated in MMA for over the past five years. During this time, they have been able to build upon their self-discipline, confidence levels, survival, leadership and other daily living skills. Our children feel supported, protected and like family while at the gym. They often engage in fun activities and honor roll celebrations outside of class time. They look forward to summer camp which gives them time to train, work on educational information, go on field trips and have fun daily. All three of our children have been invited into the Master’s club. They’ve competed in many tournaments, won several medals and swords. When they didn’t come out on top coaches took time onsite to explain how to improve and aid them in being successful for future matches/competitions. I’ve participated in the Women’s Bootcamp and achieved great results. The instructors were well qualified and highly motivating. The ladies were very encouraging and worked well together. We recommend Top Flight MMA for training and fitness needs for children and adults.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place. I would highly recommend. My daughter has been part of the Top Flight FAMILY since she was 3 and now she's 10 almost 11. She loves going. They go above and beyond to make sure my daughter is good not only at the gym but at home and school also. Coach Joey and Master Ron have helped myself and my daughter so much when it wasn't even their job.

Negative experience: Poor customer servicing. Disorganized. Classes became so big many students were left behind. They have been happy to take our money but surely haven't checked in to see where the kids are. I wonder if they even noticed. Very disappointing.

Negative experience: If I could rate it zero stars, I would. The positive reviews is a joke, most likely staff and friends gave them good reviews to help them out since they received so many poor reviews. I am currently attending and so far I have experienced lack of organization with the schedule. The schedule advertised online is not the same time as the ones taught in class. Second, disrespect, Ron likes to challenge the customer and is extremely not customer service oriented. Perhaps lack of education for the field, but then again I would think that is common sense. Also, they use member solutions which is only rated 1.5 stars, so that speaks more for itself what kind of company you are dealing with. Look it up yourself. I will tell you something which is not advertised since they want you to be locked in the program, they do have a buyout for 500 dollars. I would have done that long ago if I knew I would have to deal with an unprofessional staff. *Will update my experience in the meantime So, based on my HONEST CUSTOMER REVIEW I was no longer welcomed on the matt by the owner. NO refund or anything. I tell everyone I meet about the unprofessional staff and the low quality of this company. Yeah, it might seems good at first until you start seeing their true colors. They will rip you off and the owner does not take any customers advice, and is not customer service oriented. Method MMA is MUCH BETTER and PROFESSIONAL

Fantastic experience: I used to train at Top Flight MMA. This place was great! Awesome coaches and training partners. I only did the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes and learned a lot from all coaches and teammates. When I had to stop because of personal issues they had no problem accommodating me until I had them resolved MONTHS later. I no longer train at the school because logistic reasons, and they are still very nice and friendly with me. I would still recommend Top Flight MMA to anyone interested in beginning or continuing training BJJ or MMA.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing and there is something for the whole family. My kids attend the afterschool program as well as summer camp and do not want to come home when it's time to leave. There is a systematic martial arts curriculum that the kids follow and it really helps my children in being disciplined, focused, goal setters and achievers. Not to mention the self defense moves hey show me when they get home. The instructors are very good and help in assisting the little ones. As well there are classes for adults in kickboxing only, MMA, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu where you can train for fun, to get in shape or compete if you'd like. The adult, teen, and kids competition teams are really good and most times come back with medals. In addition to that there are amateur and professional MMA fighters who train there and compete at the highest level (UFC)!! Highly recommended!

Negative experience: I use to be a student at Top Flight . I attend the lunch hour classes with a older gentlmen Mike Atkin who taught the class he was a great instructor. Thoses classes were great the insrtuction sparring was good . Atkins no longer works thier had issues with owner told me if I deploy the would freeze my account until I got back I had asked him be for I joined because I work for the military not the case I end up paying for the whole year even though I was thousand miles away and could not attend . Afternoon classes open sparring a little week .As far as belt system how to get promoted not to detailed. My big issues was that I told them due to my job on APG I will be deployed alot they told me or Ron told me I will freeze the time and and you will just start right up when you get back. That was a total lie pretty much after I sign up with Ron I never really saw him or dealt with him . I kept getting hound by who ever collects payment for them . I was deployed .then the non stop hounding from Top flights front desk about the contract at the end its more of bussiness Then a school They wanted me to pay the full contract even though I only attend 3 months and wanted me to pay for monthly while I was deployed.... If you are Military or Work on APG do not sign a contract with them. Pay month to month but since Mike Atkin does not teach their anymore the website has not been updated so the listing of intructors is not up to date save your money go some where else . Beside Mike Atkin being a experts in a field or in a displine like jujitsu thier are none thier shoty at best now if you want sparring buddies and roll time and may get in to MMA thier are still better run schools you can go to ... Better to spend ten years looking for a good master then spending ten years learning from a bad one . Honestly I never met a female in any of the classes or saw one except for kids or some one waiting for some one else in the class so if your talking about me you. Your mistaken Still does not take away from what I said I end up paying for the whole year even though I deployed find some where else to go that my advice to everyone half the reviews are actually from people who work at the school good luck to every one.

Negative experience: I had 2 kids that attended this. The service is good, the problem comes when trying to withdraw. I moved from Harford county to Baltimore county and can no longer bring my kids because its to much of a hassle to do twice a week and not to mention I do not want to waste the gas driving back and forth 2 times a week. So I tried to cancel my children's membership by calling the 410 number that's provided online. I talked to a lady that knew nothing when asked. Mind you this was like my 5th attempt at canceling. All the lady knew how to do was answer the phone and take a message. She didn't know if I would be called back, she didn't know if they received any of the other 5 messages I left her to give them, she didn't know the direct number. She knew nothing! Here it is 3 months later and I am still being charged $268 a month although my children has not attended since Aug 2015. Looks like I will have no choice but to waste my gas and to travel all the way to Harford County just to get this resolved. I also had to dispute the charge with my debit card company as I am tired of being charged for something my children are not even participating in. Nice place to take your kids but if you ever have to withdraw them make sure you dont mind being charged because they will constantly charge you and never reply to you when you want to cancel!
