Fantastic experience: I am writing this review to extend my sincere gratitude towards our trainer, Ryan. His guidance and support have been instrumental in helping me discover a newfound passion for weightlifting. As a beginner, the gym environment was quite daunting for me, and I was initially hesitant to engage with the heavy machinery. Ryan's approach has been both encouraging and enlightening: He allowed me to proceed at my own pace, ensuring that I never felt overwhelmed or pressured. His motivational words were always appreciated and gave me the confidence to push my boundaries. The clear instructions he provided for each machine were very useful, and his explanations on why we use each one were very enlightening. His dedication and enthusiasm have instilled in me a love for fitness to the extent that a week without visiting the gym feels incomplete. For those who are new to the gym, I strongly recommend Ryan as a personal trainer. His methods are not only safe but also highly beneficial in maximizing your gym experience. Working with him will undoubtedly give you the knowledge and confidence to navigate your fitness journey successfully.

Fantastic experience: Great place to workout

Negative experience: Went there for 4 years and loved it until I got a trainer there. I joined a new gym and didn’t go to ovox for a month. My trainer Daniel Pearl charged me for 4 training sessions without me knowing. They refunded my money after I showed them text of my trainer asking me to train and me clearly saying I couldn’t. What bothered me is that during this process my trainer never called to apologize or clear the air, because he was clearly robbing me over a course of a month and their management saw texts of one of their employees stealing from a member and their response was to make sure me and him were clear next time. These people obviously allow their employees to charge members without them being there and if they get caught they protect protect their employees. Bad Managment and thieves

Fantastic experience: very good gym

Negative experience: I don’t live here & decided to go to Ovox to workout for the day. It was a waste of time. The male working the front desk was very rude and reluctant to let me & my sister train there for $25 for the day. We took a 30 minute toning class first in the studio & then went into the gym after to do some cardio, which obviously did not happen. We will not be back.

Fantastic experience: Marianna is an excellent trainer. Professional and knows her stuff! Does a great job navigating through various injuries and providing safe alternatives. Marianna is the perfect blend of challenging and supportive in her training sessions.

Fantastic experience: More like 10 stars... Everyone is awesome at Ovox, from Stu the owner to all the members. It is a real deal gym with amazing equipment. I've also can't speak more highly over the personal training. I've been working with Nick Wallace and I couldn't be any happier. He is extremely knowledgeable and supportive! He just gets the mind muscle connection and keeps our sessions challenging but safe.

Fantastic experience: This place rules. Open early. Has about every piece of equipment you could possibly want to use, including plenty of power racks. The clientele ranges from casual weightlifters to bodybuilders. Grunting encouraged.

Positive experience: The seminar was okay about nutrition. The instructor never gave examples on how he lost the weight or any examples of which one can eat for breakfast,lunch or dinner. Also to join the gym is way overpriced. They don't have any swimming or basketball courts, but want you to pay a minimum of $50.00 monthly.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym since Stu opened and have had nothing but an amazing experience. Juana and the whole housekeeping crew do an amazing job of keeping the place spotless. Jess, Dana, Liam and all other front desk attendants are kind and considerate constantly offering help from workouts to nutrition. All of the trainers I have trained with are so knowledgable and the owners do a good job of keeping friendly staff. Mo has offered me tips and tricks since the day I started. There are 3 main areas for workout space... never too crowded. Even throughout the pandemic, Stu has done an excellent job-- he was one of the only (if not the only) person to move the whole gym outside. Fantastic experience: My first time at a new gym couldn’t have went smoother. Great atmosphere with great staff. Highly recommend trying their classes as well, as they have quite a lot to offer especially during these times. Some gyms have borderline removed all of their offerings besides the main gym, but OVOX has definitely won me over with the sheer amount of personalization that they let you have over your workouts!

Fantastic experience: The equipment selection and variety as well as space are second to none in gyms in the area. The trainers are personable and knowledgeable. Stu runs one heck of a facility over there. Luana is amazing as well and an incredible person to talk to while you are there. As a strength and conditioning professional myself I would absolutely recommend OVOX to my family, friends and my athletes as well!

Fantastic experience: I just joined a few weeks ago and absolutely love this gym. Every time I walk in, I am greeted with a welcoming smile, usually from Dave as I am an early morning member. The facility is very clean and very well maintained with excellent equipment. Members use there towels on all equipment and cleaner is available all around the gym to wipe down the equipment. The bathrooms were a pleasant surprise! They have lockers, showers and are stocked with every amenity you would need; hair dryers, mouthwash, q tips, deodorant etc. I was given two free PT sessions and I told the PT manager Stu that I wanted to be paired with a trainer that would push me and motivate me to get stronger, and he delivered!! I started training with Rasheed and was really impressed with his knowledge and ability to target specific muscles in different ways! Today was my third session and I will definitely continue training with him. An all around excellent gym experience so far. I am very happy I joined.

Negative experience: The way they do membership now is you have to commit for a whole year at 40 bucks a month with a 40 dollar maintenance fee. There is no option to cancel at any point, so you’re locked in. This place is a joke and doesn’t care about the health of its community this is just a money grab. To charge more for less services offered. This is a joke.

Fantastic experience: Great gym probably the best I've been in do far be in my life comes with experience one of the owners had owned very good big powerhouse s gyms in the area like 5 at the same time and he knows what he's doing you will not go to his gym and ever be disappointed he knows equipment is the best what people use and this ovox is the cream of the crop as equipment goes and you can eat off of the floors the gym is always that clean that is big with the owner it has to always be clean and honestly it's only a couple bucks more than retro or the other franchise gyms and my opinion you could pay alot more for what they offer even has peloton bicycles that monthly subscription is expensive just in itself I had to post all this because you have to experience gyms for a long time to appreciate this it's an incredible gym

Fantastic experience: Ovox is a gym that doesn’t even compare to other local gyms. You get what you pay for here, you get top notch equipment, staff, and cleanliness from this place. I used to work at a retro and still continued to work out here for those reasons.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Ovox for a while now. I decided I wanted to improve my workouts and decided to try personal training. I’d never done personal training before and did not know what to expect. A friend recommended I check out Ovox. I started training with Jared Rappaport and he began our first session by discussing my workout goals and setting up a plan for the session. I have been training with Jared ever since. He is an amazing trainer, and although I only go for training once a month I already see a significant improvement in my overall strength and muscle tone, which were my fitness goals. Each session Jared introduces new exercises for me to add to my workouts and pushes me to work hard. When I workout myself I incorporate what I learned during the sessions. The gym itself is extremely nice, super clean and an amazing workout environment. Every time I workout at Ovox I feel comfortable and always have the best workouts. If you’re looking for a change in your workout routine and are considering personal training I highly recommend coming to Ovox and asking for Jared, with hard work and consistency you will see a major improvement with your workouts and fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: Gym is top notch. Had the pleasure of knowing both owners Mr. Rosenstein and Mr. Rosenthal prior to joining. The pristine look and the level of cleanliness they keep it at is unmatched. You can literally eat dinner off the bathroom floors that's how spotless this place is no matter what time of day you go. All employees very hospitable as well. Worth every penny. Just wish they had a steam room as well!

Then my boy told me to go to the bathroom. Had everything u needed incase u forgot body spray soap mouth wash etc. Went to the bathroom came put n signed right up ‍♂️‍♂️. Place is clean like really clean . Great equipment. They cater to all fitness levels n categories. Bodybuilding crossfit power lifting etc. Hands down one of the best gyms out . B prepared to work. U will have a blast there well worth it

Fantastic experience: I'm an intermediate gymer and this gym is pretty good imo. Very clean and had all the equipment and machines I needed. I just moved back to NJ from Houston, TX and the gyms there are big cuz there's space, this one is ok. I've seen some really cramped gyms, not to mention any names but like retro fitness in West Orange(I can't believe I went there once upon a time.) I didn't like there "you must use a towel" rule cuz I don't sweat, like at all, so why do I need a towel for? If I planned on staying in this south Jersey area i'd consider this gym. I def recommend it tho. And FYI it's like $40+/month for the gym and like $80/month for gym and fitness classes. Say no to LA fitness. So unkept

Negative experience: If I could I would give 0 star rate , I've been gone for a while out of state over a month ,and I received a letter that my payment didnt go through and if I wont take any actions additional fees will apply. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL , no dates ,no time ,nothing says how much time do I have? For a charge that didnt go through? Nothing says about that ! If I would treat my costumers like that I'd be on the street already , if I'd interesting only about the money , and wouldn't care about relationships . Remember ovox most important between you and costumer it is RELATIONSHIPS !!!

Negative experience: No good. Employees are great but, I have nothing positive to say about the owner. Watch and listen and you'll see for yourself.

Positive experience: This gym is really nice. Clean & great machine options personal trainers are helpful. The ab room however needs vamping it's small and closed in like a place for punishment not exercise.

Fantastic experience: I was a member there for a short time. The owner is one of nicest people ever. The staff is top notch and so is the equipment. I should really go back but feel bad about cancelling in first place. I recommend this place to anyone. Best owner, staff and equipment. For full disclosure I am in a wheelchair and this is one of the traditional gyms who open their place to me with open arm and a helpful hand. I cannot say enough good things about place .

Fantastic experience: I've been to a lot of gyms in my journey. Started out in Planet fitness, then LA Fitness and tried out a local mom and pop gym, Retro fitness and even my College gym. After quitting LA fitness I needed something new and fresh. OVOX is the first gym I can say I really fell in love with. This gym is the jack of all trades. It has state of the art equipment, weights, power racks, bands, deadlifting and Olympic weightlift platforms/plates A CHALK BOWL (WHICH IS ESSENTIAL IN MY OPINION) and a little snack bar. Staff is very chill and and helpful. Not to mention the hygiene products in the locker rooms and the hotel styled showers. ALL this for 40 bucks a month! How can you say no to that? Seriously give this gym a try and I promise you you'll never look at another place again.
