Fantastic experience: I stopped into The Fitness Center of Havre de Grace during a recent work trip, and I was really impressed. The first thing I noticed was how clean and well-kept everything is—it’s obvious Kim, the owner, takes real pride in her gym. But what truly sets this place apart is Kim herself. From the moment I walked in, her passion for fitness and helping others was clear. She wasn’t just welcoming; she made sure everyone in the gym felt like they belonged, whether they were a regular or a drop-in like me. The members were equally kind and helpful, which speaks volumes about the atmosphere Kim has created. If you’re in the area, this gym is a must-visit—it’s the kind of place where you’ll not only get a great workout but also feel like part of a supportive community, even if you’re just passing through.

Fantastic experience: The fitness center of Havre de Grace is the best gym I have ever belonged to. The gym has a community feel and welcomes everyone no matter where you are on your fitness journey. The gym has everything you could possibly need to workout. If you are new to fitness, I highly recommend doing a class. The owner of the gym (Kim) is super helpful, knowledgeable and so easy to connect to.

Fantastic experience: I wandered in after I had absolutely enough of Planet Fitness, and I’ve been here ever since. You can work out on your own, or join in on one of the classes that are held throughout the day. The machines are maintained, there are community events, and there’s even a dog. 10/10

Fantastic experience: Go to this Gym. I’ve had membership at Planet, Golds->Retro, BAAC and got to say HDG Fitness Center has EVERYTHING you could need regardless of your fitness goals. My favorite part is you get this home-towny community driven feel. They are here to help in whichever capacity despite where you are at on your journey.. plus open 24 hour!!

Fantastic experience: When I walked in to join, I honestly wasn't sure. New gym, can be a little weird. But this was the best decision I ever made. I do classes, which are like group training sessions and included in your membership. The people have become friends. They are encouraging and don't let you slack off, which I need sometimes. I have seen changes in my body that I never saw at my last gym. I look forward to my work outs now. I would 100% recommend this gym.

Positive experience: I just drove up to it. I didn’t go in. It looks cool.

Negative experience: I feel like the owner treats people differently based upon your status at the gym. I once approached her with a concern of racial issues within the gym. But because the person who did it was one of her clients she refused to do anything about it and when I told her I no longer wanted my card charged she threatened to continue to charge it because of the contract however nowhere in the contract did it say I would be treated differently.

Fantastic experience: An amazing place with amazing coaches and gym mates. Just what I needed. It's not just a gym, and you're not just a number here. Thankful I found it!

Fantastic experience: Gym is welcoming no matter your fitness level. Owner is amazing and has clean equipment for just about any workout. Been to Y’s, PF’s, Anytimes, and LA’s. This, by far is the best. I wasn’t influenced to write this, it’s just a fact.

Fantastic experience: This is a beautiful gym! I visited with my husband while in town for vacation. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful! The gym was open and had every piece of equipment we wanted! The classes that were going on seemed so fun and encouraging! We will definitely be back if we’re in town again!

Fantastic experience: The most immaculately clean gym I’ve been to with all the equipment you can think of. The staff are all friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It’s the first gym I’ve ever joined where the staff helps me reach my fitness goals without making me sign up and pay for personal sessions or training. The classes are a ton of fun and the prices are very reasonable. The most important thing to recognize about this fitness center is the incredibly welcoming community that it has created - everyone knows and encourages each other, and there is NO judgement no matter the goals. Great place for any fitness level. I would never go anywhere else!
